Privacy Policy
Effective 26 September 2026 · Last updated 26 September 2026
1. Who operates BreakThruFX
BreakThruFX is currently operated by an individual proprietor. If the service is later transferred to a company, this page will be updated to name that operator and the effective date will change.
For any privacy question, or to exercise a right described in section 10, write to hello@breakthrufx.com.
2. What we collect
Collected automatically. Which pages were opened, how far down them you scrolled, which elements were clicked, whether this was a first or a return visit, roughly how long since your last one, and a coarse location - country, region and city - derived by our hosting provider from your network connection. Your browser also supplies what any web request requires: an IP address, browser and device details, and a timestamp.
A first-party identifier, kept on your device. To tell a returning visit from a new one we store a random identifier in your browser for up to 90 days, after which it is replaced. That identifier is never sent to our servers. It is read on your own device to answer two questions - have you been here before, and roughly how long ago - and only those two answers are transmitted. We never receive the identifier itself, so we cannot use it to follow you between visits.
What you give us. An email address, if you ask for the cheat sheet or for reminders. Anything you write in a feedback box or send us by email. Purchase and access details, if and when paid access is available.
What the calculators do not do. The risk and earnings calculators run entirely in your browser. Your account balance, risk percentage, lot size and every other figure you enter are never transmitted to us and never stored anywhere. We are told only that a calculator was used.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
- To run and protect the site - serving pages, limiting abuse, keeping a record of what the service did. Our legitimate interest in operating a working service.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it - the statistics above. Our legitimate interest in measuring our own site. You can switch this off at any time: see section 6.
- To send what you asked for - the cheat sheet and the short follow-up sequence you opted into by giving us your address. Your consent, which you can withdraw using the unsubscribe link in any of those emails.
- To answer you - replying to a message you send. Our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence.
- To provide paid access, when it is available. Performance of the contract between us.
4. Browser storage
We set no cookies. No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics cookies, no tracking pixels. This describes what we do today; if it ever changes, this page changes with it.
| Stored as | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|
| bt_v | Tells a returning visit from a new one. Never sent to us. | Up to 90 days |
| bt_sid, bt_trail, bt_src | Links the pages of a single visit together, and records how you arrived. | Until the tab closes |
| bt_scroll | Puts you back where you were when you press Back. | Until the tab closes |
| bt_bg, bt_cb, bt_voice, bt_read_continue, bt_lang_hint | Your theme, contrast, read-aloud and language choices. | Until you clear them |
| bt_ref | An opaque handle, set only if you give us your email, so a reminder can be matched to you. | Until you clear it |
| bt_optout | Remembers that you switched analytics off. | Until you clear it |
Everything above is first-party: stored by this site, readable only by this site.
5. TradingView on the chart pages
Two pages - the live chart and its Spanish equivalent - embed a chart widget provided by TradingView. Loading either page causes your browser to connect directly to TradingView's servers, which means TradingView receives what any web request carries: your IP address, your browser and device details, and the address of the page you are on. That happens as the chart loads, before you interact with it. No other page on this site loads anything from TradingView.
What TradingView does with that information is governed by their privacy policy, not ours. We observed their widget on this site in September 2026 and it set no cookies and stored no identifier on the device - but that is an observation of their product at one moment, not a commitment we are in a position to make on their behalf.
6. Your choice about analytics
The statistics in section 2 are optional. Turning them off costs you nothing and changes nothing else about the site.
Switching site analytics off deletes the identifier already in your browser, stops a replacement being created, clears the temporary per-visit keys, and stops any further measurement being sent. Your choice is remembered on that device and is as easy to reverse as it was to make. The preferences you asked for - colour theme, contrast, read-aloud voice, scroll position - are left alone, because they are not measurement.
7. Who else receives information
We keep the list of recipients as short as running the service allows.
| Vercel | Hosting. Receives the IP address and request details of every visit. |
| Upstash | Database. Stores the statistics described above and any email address you give us. |
| Resend | Sends our email. Receives your address and the message. |
| ImprovMX + Google | Forwards mail sent to our address into our inbox. |
| Telegram | Receives our own operational alerts - a page path, a coarse location, and, where an email is involved, a masked form of it such as cla***@example.com. Never the full address. |
| TradingView | Only on the two chart pages. See section 5. |
The market and economic data sources we read from - gold prices, economic release dates - receive nothing about you. We request data from them; they are told nothing about our visitors.
8. How long we keep things
| The identifier in your browser | Up to 90 days, then replaced |
| Page and click statistics | 90 days |
| The recent-activity feed | 7 days |
| The route someone took before subscribing | 90 days |
| Feedback you write to us | 365 days |
| Long-term totals (visits per month, per year) | Kept indefinitely, and contain no personal information |
| Your email address | While you remain subscribed. Removed when you unsubscribe, apart from the minimum record needed to keep you unsubscribed |
9. Where information is processed
BreakThruFX is operated from the United States, and the providers in section 7 process information in the United States and elsewhere. If you visit from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, your information is handled outside your own country.
We are a small operation and rely on the terms each provider offers rather than a separate transfer arrangement of our own. If that matters to you, the surest step is to switch analytics off using section 6 and not to give us an email address.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it, or to receive a copy. Write to hello@breakthrufx.com and we will answer.
Two of these you can exercise yourself, immediately, without asking us: switch analytics off using Privacy choices in the footer, and unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any email we send. Unsubscribing removes you from the list; we keep only the minimum record needed to make sure we do not email you again.
If you believe we have handled your information badly, you are entitled to complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Changes to this policy
If we begin using information in a materially different way, we will say so here before we start, and update the date at the top of this page.
