Your broker does not call gold XAUUSD
Symptom: The bridge reports an unknown or invalid symbol.
The symbol sent in the command must match the broker's own name for the instrument exactly. Many brokers append or prepend something to it, and the difference is invisible unless you go looking.
Find the real name
Open Market Watch in MetaTrader, right-click, and choose Show All. The gold row shows the exact string the broker uses - it may carry a suffix for the account type, or a prefix, or use a different abbreviation entirely. Copy it character for character.
Where to put it
The indicator's broker-symbol setting must carry that exact string. This is deliberately a separate field from the TradingView chart symbol, because the two are frequently different and you should not have to change charts to fix execution.
The subtler version of this problem
Two symbols can both exist and both look like gold - one for a standard account and one for a raw-spread account, or a cash and a futures variant. Sending to the wrong one produces trades that work but at prices and costs you did not expect. Check that the symbol you send to is the one your account actually trades.
